I am using Wordpress 2.2 and wp-db-backup 2.1.1 on Windows Server 2003 with IIS and am using wpPHPMailer to send my mail via SMTP. The problem is that there must be something wrong with the MIME as Gmail is unable to show the email correct.

Well, there is not any attachment as you can see :) If I send the backup to another email (using SquirrelMail version 1.4.9a software) I receive this:
“Attached to this email is
wordpress_wp_20070527_683.sql.gz
Size:217 kilobytes”
And yes, there is an attachment there. So what is wrong, is it something with wp-db-backup or shall I focus over to wpPHPMailer for a solution?
sorry to bring this up again. But I have the same problem (though with GMX).
I'm using the latest version of your Plugin (just donwloaded the zip) and Wordpress 2.2.

peterl,
I think the wpPHPMailer plugin, which changes wp_mail, is messing up the header encoding of the attachment.
Ok, well then I have to look into another solution. Thank you for your reply!

I am facing the same problem here. I am using the latest version of your plugin and WordPress. 2.2.3.
Could anyone point me to the solution?
Try the latest version of the plugin (2.1.5). It should fix the email problems.
wow thanks a lot I just installed 2.1.5 :D now it works perfectly.
