After my upgrade to wordpress 2.9 i couldn't login to the dashboard of wordpress. I had no permission to view the page. The problem was, so i discovered, was de WP-DB backup plugin. When the plugin was deactivated everything went to normal.
So in my case the wp-db plugin is not compatible with wp 2.9.
Are there solutions for this problem, because i ihink it's a great plugin.
same thing for me. My screen said, in Dutch: "Je hebt geen toegangsrechten voor deze pagina." Which means: no entrance rights for this page.
I deactivated all my plugins, and reactivated them, but on re-activating WP-DB backup plugin it all went blank again.
There is clearly a compatibility problem with WP 2.9. I hope you can find the problem, for it is a very useful tool indeed!

The scheduled backup and email no longer works. Manually creating the backup and emailing to myself works fine.
On investigation it appears that the next scheduled backup was still the day before I upgraded to 2.9 - i.e. when the last backup fired before upgrading it looked like the next scheduled backup wasn't updated.
I've just tried to re-schedule a backup on a Once Hourly basis and when the time came, the backup did NOT run.
I have the same problem as Mark. The scheduled backup is not working, no email sent, no error message either. The "Next Backup" date stop at the date just before I upgraded to WP2.9.

After upgrading the backup ran normaly but as I said, I couldn't login.
Re-install Wp-backup results in the same problem: can not login on the backend.

I upgraded to WordPress 2.9 and I have the WordPress Database Backup plugin installed.
I am still able to access my site, however, the backups are no longer happening.
No error message, just no backups.
If I manually run a back up it works. What isn't working is the scheduled backup and/or the emailing of the zip file to me.

I also have this problem as well once I upgraded to wordpress 2.9.
My scheduled back-ups do not come by email and do not go to the server,
Also the backed up files that are on the server now are not able to be deleted.
The plugin did an automatic backup three times and then stopped working.
I have even tried to delete these backups from the plesk panel and it says I have no permission,
I have been using this plugin for about a year now and these are my first issues ever,
So maybe it's a wordpress 2.9 thing

I have restored to WP2.8.6 at the moment. The backup word like it used to do.
I also have a problem which started after I upgraded to 2.9.
Manual backup works, but neither manual or auto email works anymore.
