I have installed wp-db-backup 2.1.2 and activated it. When I go to the manage tap in WP I do not see a backup sub tab. I am running WP 2.0.4 on my own server.

Are you logged in as an administrator? Have you changed your WordPress capabilities, or are you using a plugin that could have changed the capabilities? Your user must have the "import" capability in order to use the plugin.
Yes I am logged in as admin with no other plug ins running. I have tried to install this on 2 of my blogs and I can not get it to work on either. I am not a newbie and work with this kind of stuff everyday. What is import" capability and how do I check if I have them?
Any other ideas?
Jeff
WordPress assigns every user a capability; by default administrators have the "import" capability. One way to see if you have it is to see if you can see the "Import" tab in the admin menu.
At this point I don't have any other suggestions other than to look at your PHP error logs to see if anything stands out. If you do discover what has gone wrong, please let me know.
Yes I do have a import tab so I am logged on as the admin. Let me know where I would find the PHP log and I will take a look at them or send you a copy.

Can you browse to /wp-admin/edit.php?page=wp-db-backup directly?
Is it possible that there are so many sub-tabs that they're being wrapped off the screen?
No I can not get to: /wp-admin/edit.php?page=wp-db-backup this is the message I receive: Cannot load wp-db-backup.

It depends on your host. Usually there's a directory named "statistics" or "logs" or the like.
If you're willing to grant me FTP access to one of your blogs, I could try to diagnose the problem myself. My email address is if.website@gmail.com
Got it working Thanks. I disabled all plug ins and then re enabled them and now it works.
