Similar to other people posting, sending my back-ups by email fails after I upgraded to Wordpress 2.9 (I'm on 2.9.2 actually). I've checked other ways of emailing from Wordpress, which work perfectly. Downloading the back-up manually is no problem, but I'd really like to have it emailed. Keeping "back-up your blogs" out of my agenda, makes me smile. I have no other plugins running which use emailing of any kind.
To be honest, I don't like to add a SMTP plugin, since this might affect future plugins I want to use.
I hope you'll have something to make me smile even more!

Update: once I removed the password protection-parts in my .htaccess file, emailing worked perfectly. Seems it has something to do with that..
