I've been using the plug-in for quite some time now. I just moved my site to a new host and need to import from my backup, but Wordpress 3.0 is giving me an error "Please upload a valid WXR (WordPress eXtended RSS) export file." Am I not importing correctly?
Thanks so much for the reply. However, now when I try to import with PHPMyAdmin, I get the following:
"You attempted to load file with unsupported compression (application/gzip). Either support for it is not implemented or disabled by your configuration."
If it helps diagnose, the filename is [filename].sql.gz

WXR and the database backup are entirely different ways of making a backup.
To restore the database backup, you will probably need to use your site's control panel and access a database management tool such as PHPMyAdmin.

I really appreciate the help.
Never mind. It's a zipped file - I didn't recognize the extension, but Googled .gz and purchased WinZip.
Thanks
