This is from your webpage "When having the database backup emailed or sent to your browser for immediate download, the backup file will be deleted from the server when the transfer is finished. Only if you select delivery method “Save to server” will the backup file remain on your server."
I have my backups set to email to me not to save to the server, but they are staying on the server anyway. My host advised me today that I have hundreds of database backups on their server which is causing issues with overuse of their resources.
The most direct cause is probably that your server has too little memory allocated to PHP, so it gives up when it tries to zip and / or mail the files.
Until I can release a fix for people with low memory, the best thing to do is to increase the memory.
I have the same problem. but also another and that is that i cant delete the files on the server when they not belong to me. i dont have the "rights" to delete them. Do you have any solution for that ?

This is a server configuration error on the part of your host. You need to ask your host to allow your FTP account user to delete files created by the PHP user.

I am using Version 2.2.3 of the plugin.
How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
i have the same problem, the backups don't delete automatically. But I get the backups via e-mail.
All is fine, only the automatically deleting is broken. Why? In my opinion, I have enough memory on this webspace.
Hope for an answer.
Thanks
P.S. Sorry for my bad english ;)
