When running the "Download to your computer" backup function, the status bar slowly progresses from 0 to 100%, but then nothing happens. There is no prompt to download the backup file(s).
I'm having the same issue with every function of the back up. I also tried emailing it to myself as well as scheduling back ups and they have all failed to supply a back up.
This has been for a couple of months now and yet it worked fine before then.
Same for me too. I just downloaded the plugin for the first time.
At the beginning everything seems to go right, the status bar progresses from 0 to 100%, but then nothing happens.
I've tried "download to your computer" and also the email option.
I looked on the server via FTP, both fresh backup files are there in the plugin folder, as if waiting to send one to browser, and one to e-mail.
I have gmail, so I can receive messages up to 25 MB, and my DB is only 5 MB.
Also, I don't like the fact that now my DB backups are on the server (the owner is www).
Something prevents the sending, but I don't understand what.
Have I to ask to my provider?
Why the author doesn't reply?
Yep, they say that the error is caused by the PHP directive memory_limit that at the moment is set to 34MB.
Because the server is shared, they can't increase it.
So, no way to use your plugin?
Really 34 MB aren't enough?
Actually just checked the wp-content/backup-15059/ folder and all the backups are being created and sent here no matter if I choose download or email. FYI.

Tried both IE and Firefox.
Plugin version is 2.2.3
Thanks for any tips you might have...
It's also not working for me and I'm using the same version. I'm really in need of a backup too.
Same for me ? Some news?
Having the same problem here as well - I did find the file in my backup directory however (unzipped) even though I selected the email option.

The answer is most likely that your PHP has too little memory.
Until I can find a solution for those with little memory, the simplest fix is to ask your site's host to increase the memory allocated to PHP.
Ok, thank you, I try.
I have already sent a ticket to provider, but in the meantime I have checked on my php.info and I've seen "memory limit": 34 M

PS: I'm very sorry for the flood.
Ok, I solved by removing some table, thank you!
same problem for me and it's not a PHP memory problem
Why do you say it's not?
Just stopped working for me after I upgraded Wordpress from 3.0.0 to 3.1.2. Was working great for over a year.
