About 3 days ago, I quit getting backups e-mailed to me. When I attempt a manual backup, it backups about 80% of the data, and usually hangs up when it reaches the WP-Terms table.
The plugin works fine on another website that I have.
I have also noticed this with my main site. It is working on my other sites. On my main site, if I do a manual backup it reaches 100%, but doesn't email it or allow download.
Using FTP to look in the backup directory, I can see that the backup completes, but is left as the large sql file rather than zipped up. On my other sites that are smaller, I can watch the process complete including zipping the file and then it being deleted.
I hope this helps pinpoint the problem. It only occurred after upgrading to version 2.2.3 a couple of days ago.
@Kencun, are there any error messages? Do you know if your server is using the Apache security module, mod_evasive?
@Ian, could you tell me how much memory the PHP on your server has? That information would be located in your php.ini file, and I suspect it to be low (around 32mb instead of upwards from 64mb). Also, could you tell me if there's an unzipped file in your backup directory that's not getting emailed and how large it is?
