I think saving the backup to the server is a bad idea, so I'm not going to help people do it.</p> <p>The main thing is that people who leave their backups on the server <em>and</em> have mis-configured servers end up exposing their private data to the world, and consequently my plugin gets the blame.</p> <p>Another is that it would be too easy to fill up a shared hosting's allotted disk space with automatic backups.</p> <p>Finally, the point of the backups is redundancy in case of failure; if the backups are kept on the same machine as the database (a common scenario) it defeats the purpose. </p> http://austinmatzko.com/forum/topic/no-save-to-server-option-for-scheduled-backup#post-3885 Mon, 03 Nov 2008 01:11:44 +0000 sylaan 3885@http://austinmatzko.com/forum/ <p>Hello, </p> <p>Any reason I don't have a "save to server" option for scheduled backups ?
