I have five (5) new websites on which I've installed your wp db backup plugin.

Backups are created; and it does send backups to the correct email address -- ONLY with Backup Now.

Scheduled backups are created as scheduled; but, the plugin insists on sending them to an email address to which I DO NOT want backups sent.

Dozens of times, I have changed the email address under Scheduled Backup, and clicked Schedule Backup. When I go to any other page and come back, the email address know to your plugin is stubbornly back to that email address to which I DO NOT want backups sent.

Please, advise.

Thank you.

I installed the plugin but it does not work for me.

When I try to do a manual backup, the blue progress bar gets all the way to the end and it appears that it has finished. But when I click the link to download the backup, the downloaded file is only 4k when it should be 6.3MB.

However, when I look in the "backup_81a5D" folder, the backup in the folder is correct.

Also, although I have scheduled daily backups to be sent to me via email, I have not yet received a single backup via email.

So it appears that the backup happens correctly to the server, but when I attempt to either download it or have it sent by email, it doesn't work.

I am receiving email replies to comments for my blog so I know email is working.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I am a total newbie so please excuse any wrong jargon. I have been having backups of my WP site emailed to me daily. I made a big mistake in header.php the other day and need to look at a previous version of the code to see what I inadvertently deleted. So I went to look at my backup and found am unable to read a sql file. What should I do? If I upload this backup'd file from the other day will it overwrite everything I've done in the past 3 days (which is a lot)? Or after uploading do I get to choose just the section I want to restore. Will it automatically rewrite all my header coding? And how do I get this emailed file back into my godaddy server anyway? I need help! Thanks.

Hi Austin,

Great plugin! Thanks for the hard work.

I installed your plugin about 6 weeks ago and scheduled a weekly backup. For the first four weeks, the backups came in an email as scheduled. However, for the last couple of weeks, no backup has come. I can go in and manually backup and email it to myself, but I can't get the schedule to work.

Last week, I reset all of the settings and scheduled a backup, which should have occurred today at 2:41 pm. Unfortunately, 2:41 pm has come and gone, but no backup. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,
Roy

Hi,

Love your plug in, does a great job, thanks! The only function I can't get working is the scheduled email. I set it to Hourly with my email address and nothing gets sent. Nor does the Next Back up time and date change. I tried adjusting cron.php as suggested in post in this forum: http://www.ilfilosofo.com/forum/topic/126.

Sending emails by selecting Backup to email and pressing backup button works a treat.

I'm using WordPress 2.5.1.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

I recently setup my blog at a new domain and have been having problems with getting WP Backup to send emails.

Here are the main details/steps:

1. I'm running WordPress 2.3.3 and WP Backup 2.1.5

2. The blog is hosted at a sub-domain, i.e., blog.balaji-dutt.name

3. I have created an email address for wordpress -
<code>wordpress@balaji-dutt.name</code>

4. The mail is being sent to another account within the same domain, so not much chance of being caught by spam filters.

4. The size limit attachment for the email accounts is 20 MB.

5. Running the backup manually shows that a file is successfully created in backup-xxxxx directory.

6. I have tried the workarounds suggested in this TRAC

 - Commented the line in pluggable.php for wp_email_from and tried to send the mail.

 - Uploaded, activated the no-sender plugin then tried to email the backup (wp_email_from was not commented).

I can't think of what else to check / do but the email just doesn't appear. Please help!

I saw this thread when searching for the answer. Is the posted code still valid with the new release, or is there another change I should made? It would thrill me in ways you couldn't BEGIN to imagine to know that if I don't have all my backups by noon, there's a problem.

Also, the backup isn't happening as regularly as it should be (I have them set to daily) but have yet to determine any rhyme or reason to the backups not emailing. I'm thinking it may be because I'm having them emailed to a different email address. In the "immediate backup" section is the blog's admin email, and in the "scheduled backup" section is the address I want the backups sent to. Your thoughts?

Thanks so much for an awesome plugin!

Hi,
I have a problem with the scheduled backup. The backup file is written successfully to the backup directory, but it's not send to the given email address. If i create a backup manually to be sent to the email address, the email is sent correctly.
Any idea about that?
And: Is it correct, that the backup files aren't deleted, if a new backup is created?
