I have no idea whether I like this plug-in or not. Doesn't matter. After reading the steps you took to create just this one, I immediately began looking for a "Buy Me A ..." button.

While another programmer may not be impressed, I'm not a programmer. I'm impressed.

Nice work. Please keep it up.

PS: The button should read, "Buy Me A Condo", or "Buy Me A Small Island", however, if it did I wouldn't be able to click it...

I downloaded tinfoil hat to try it out. But looks like it has the plugin url hard coded. If you're still maintaining it, would you consider updating it to use the current standards of WP_CONTENT_URL, WP_CONTENT_DIR, WP_PLUGIN_URL, WP_CONTENT_DIR? This way it will use the current WP standards that work even if users have renamed or moved their wp-content and plugins folders. TIA.

I've modified the plugin in version 1.0.2 to suppress warnings like that.

Hi,

thanks for the tinfoil hat plugin!

I have the following problem with version 1.0.1: on a host, where fsockopen is enabled, I get a warning from time to time, stating that fsockopen is not able to contact api.wordpress.org in line 160.

The problem might occur, when the wordpress site is not available.
