the line

<code>/<h2.*/No title here/g</code>

doesn't the forward slash in the closing h2 tag confuse sed since you also use forward slash as your separator

Without BC property values would go down incredibly. Without fun parties and an exciting social life enrollment would decrease. Without enrollment BC goes and your property is shit.

Fortunately that is never going to happen. BC is never going to be gone and neither will the parties. Sorry if you didn't have a great college experience or have forgotten it.

The school has been around longer than any of you and you moved into the neighborhood or your parents or their parents did knowing college kids are going to be around. The same houses on south, radner, foster, kirkwood, etc. all have been off and on student owned since before my friends dad used to visit BC.

If you want to keep us quiet, stop encouraging cops to break up parties. All that leaves you with is angry, hammered colleged kids now in the streets as opposed to a basement who are pissed off. I don't see how that gets you anymore sleep...

Getting us all on campus wont solve anything; kids will chose to be off campus to have fun and enjoy themselves. Wear some fucking earplugs and deal with it or move.

Note also the context of Andrew Fletcher's original statement. After saying, "I knew a very wise man [who] ... believed if a man were permitted to make all the ballads, he need not care who should make the laws of a nation," Fletcher's very next sentence reads, "And we find that most of the ancient legislators thought they could not well reform the manners of any city without the help of a lyric, and sometimes of a dramatic poet." Certainly, Fletcher himself had Plato in mind.

Even though the quote is not from Plato, Fletcher (and the "very wise man" whose sentiment he is quoting) are conscientiously articulating the idea which they previously found in Plato. So the quote is later, but Fletcher himself attributes Plato with the sentiment behind it. Donald Grout probably recognized that in Fletcher, and was affirming it in his own statement which you helpfully identified, above.
